We provide early intervention ABA therapy that blends evidence-based practices with play, relationships, and meaningful learning opportunities to support each child’s unique development. Our ABA therapy program looks a lot like play, because for kids, that's exactly how real learning happens.
We're local, BCBA-D owned, and one of the few ABA practices in the area that is nationally accredited by the BHCOE.

Our ABA therapy program helps children with autism build communication, social, and daily living skills through structured, intentional support. That support is grounded in Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI). We follow your child's lead, teach within real moments, and create learning opportunities through connection.

At The Behavior Project, you are a genuine partner in your child's journey. You have regular meetings alongside our team, receive clear explanations of what your child is working on, and learn practical strategies you can use at home so the skills built in the clinic carry into real life. We become a true partner to the parents, and that kind of involvement is built into the care here.

The Behavior Project is led by a BCBA-D, and one of the few ABA clinics in the entire Kansas City area that combines that level of ownership with national accreditation from the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence. That combination makes a real difference in quality of services provided.
Meet Dr. Kate
Inspired by her family's experience with autism, Dr. Kate has spent more than two decades helping children and families navigate their own journeys. As Founder and CEO of The Behavior Project, BCBA-D, and Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis, she is passionate about creating high-quality, compassionate early intervention services that combine the science of ABA with the power of play, relationships, and meaningful connection.
